The teenage son of a U.S. ambassador and a well known New York designer has stayed almost entirely out of public life. Here is what is actually known about him.
Ronan Anthony Villency is the son of Kimberly Guilfoyle, the United States ambassador to Greece, and Eric Villency, the New York designer who created the original bikes for SoulCycle and Peloton. He was born in Manhattan on October 4, 2006, and is nineteen.
Unlike his parents, he has stayed out of public life. He has not given interviews and has no social media accounts of his own.

A New York childhood
Ronan was born at New York Hospital in Manhattan, weighing seven pounds, nine ounces. His parents had married in Barbados a few months earlier, in May 2006, though the marriage did not last. They separated and divorced in 2009, while Ronan was still a toddler, and he grew up mainly with his mother. He is Guilfoyle’s only child.
His father, designer Eric Villency
Eric Villency runs the Villency Design Group, a Manhattan firm that grew out of a furniture company his grandfather, Maurice Villency, founded in 1932. The family name has been tied to New York design for close to a century.
Villency built his career designing fitness equipment. He created the original bikes for SoulCycle and Peloton, two of the biggest names in indoor cycling, and his firm has worked with companies including Equinox and NBC. The “furniture heir” label that often appears next to Ronan’s name comes from this side of the family.
His mother, Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle
Kimberly Guilfoyle is the more public of Ronan’s parents. She worked as a prosecutor in San Francisco and Los Angeles, became an assistant district attorney in San Francisco in 2000, and later moved into television, appearing on Fox News shows including The Five.
President Donald Trump nominated her as U.S. ambassador to Greece in December 2024. She testified at her Senate confirmation hearing in July 2025, where she thanked her family and mentioned Ronan only briefly. The Senate confirmed her that September, she was sworn in on September 29, 2025, and she took up the post in Athens in November, becoming the first woman to serve as the resident U.S. ambassador to the country.
Guilfoyle was in a relationship with Donald Trump Jr. from 2018 until 2024. It had ended before she moved to Greece, and Trump Jr. became engaged to Bettina Anderson in late 2025. Ronan has no family connection to the Trumps. That link existed only through his mother’s earlier relationship.
Irish and Puerto Rican family roots
Ronan’s background is Irish and Puerto Rican, mainly through his mother. His grandfather, Anthony “Tony” Guilfoyle, left Ennis, in County Clare, Ireland, for the United States in 1957 and served in the U.S. Army. His grandmother, Mercedes, was a special education teacher from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, who died of leukemia when Kimberly was eleven. Guilfoyle has spoken about that heritage for years, and it is the best documented part of Ronan’s background.
What is publicly known, and what isn’t
Beyond his family, little about Ronan is publicly confirmed. There is no verified information about his education, his work, or any relationship, and no net worth figure attributed to him has a credible source. He appears in public only occasionally, usually with his mother, including during a visit to Vienna earlier in 2026, and he does not speak on the record at those events.
For now, Ronan is known mostly through his parents. His father designed exercise bikes that are used around the world, and his mother represents the United States in Athens. He has chosen to keep his own life private, and at nineteen, he is under no obligation to change that.
