Who Is Charley Hull Boyfriend? Her Dating History and the Man Called T.B.

Ask Charley Hull about smoking on the fairway, her ADHD diagnosis, or the years she spent quietly holding herself together during a painful marriage, and she will tell you straight. At 30, ranked third in the world after winning the PIF Saudi Ladies International in February 2026, she is as open a personality as women’s golf has. But ask her who she is currently dating, and you get a heart emoji plastered over someone’s face and two initials: T.B.

As of April 2026, Charley Hull is in a relationship with a man she refers to publicly only by the initials T.B. His full identity has not been confirmed.

She has spoken about him in press conferences, referenced him in tournament interviews, and posted photos of him with his face deliberately hidden. This is what is actually known.

The Man She Calls T.B.

Hull first openly mentioned a new partner in October 2024, telling reporters at a press conference: “I love being with my boyfriend.” Short, deliberate, and giving nothing away.

The details that followed came piece by piece. At The Annika tournament in November 2024, she revealed a running bet between them: for every five birdies she made, they would add an extra day onto their planned European holiday. She made 20 birdies across four rounds. Four bonus days.

At the HSBC Women’s Championship press conference in Singapore in February 2025, she said: “My boyfriend said to me, try to be inside like the top 5 by the first day to make him happy.” She finished that opening round in second place.

In September 2025, after winning the Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati, Hull returned to her hotel room to find it filled with red heart-shaped balloons, roses, and a teddy bear. She posted the video on Instagram with one line: “He’s a keeper.”

That Christmas, she shared a photo of them together in front of a decorated tree, his face hidden behind an emoji, and wrote: “Truly been spoiled this year by my baby. Treats me like a princess and is always supportive. Love you so much T.B.”

Her March 2025 birthday post on Instagram included a photo of the two of them kissing, a large heart emoji covering his face. Fans also picked up on a dinner date reference at a small Italian restaurant in London.

His initials are T.B. His name, profession, and age remain unknown.

Why Hull Is Not Naming Him

She has been clear on this. Watching the Rory McIlroy divorce story play out across every sports page through 2024, after McIlroy filed to end his marriage to Erica Stoll and then pulled back just days before the US Open, Hull made a deliberate decision.

She told reporters in April 2025: “I think it’s a good thing to do. It can be hard with my job and everything.”

She had already pointed in this direction months earlier. In an August 2024 interview with the Daily Mail, she said: “I’ve dated guys who golf and guys who don’t. It’s definitely easier if they do because that’s my spare-time passion too. I’ve had a taste of high-profile relationships, but I didn’t love everything that came with it, so I’m steering clear of that for now.”

That statement makes considerably more sense once you know the full story of her marriage.

Charley Hull’s Ex-Husband: The Ozzie Smith Marriage

Hull married MMA fighter Ozzie Smith on 21 September 2019 at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, three miles from her hometown of Kettering. She was 23. A detailed profile published by journalist Gabby Herzig at The Athletic in late 2025 reported that Smith was around 14 years older.

She arrived at the church in an open-top vintage white Bentley, walked in by her father Dave, wearing a white strapless gown. Her mother Basienka told the Northamptonshire Telegraph that day: “I’m over the moon for my daughter. She looked absolutely stunning.” Hull posted on Twitter that evening: “Best day of my life so far, becoming Mrs Smith.”

The wedding itself was a large gathering. Smith comes from a Romani gypsy background, and Hull revealed on Jason Day’s YouTube channel, The Lads, in early 2026: “When I got married, there were 500 people at my wedding… up to a thousand.” She lived in a caravan on his site near Peterborough at times during their marriage and picked up a few Romani words along the way.

The relationship came apart almost immediately. In The Athletic profile, Hull spoke about it publicly for the first time. Smith had become “controlling and manipulative” in the months after the wedding, gradually eroding her sense of normality. The formal divorce was finalised in 2021.

Golf was the one place she could function during those years. Her close friend and fellow professional Georgia Hall told her at the time: “Charley, I don’t know how you can go out there and play unbelievable golf with the amount of sโ€” you have going on. Anyone else would be a mental wreck.”

Hull’s response: “It was my escape.”

She told The Athletic: “I could go back and say I wish it never happened, but I actually feel like I’m glad it happened because it makes me the person I am today.”

She has also connected those years of stress directly to her ADHD diagnosis, which came in 2023: “They say that when you go through a very stressful situation, it almost triggers my ADHD and anxiety more. Before, I was never like this.”

Everyone Else Charley Hull Has Been Linked To

Lee Tomlin

Following the divorce, Hull was linked to former professional footballer Lee Tomlin, who played for Middlesbrough, Peterborough United, Bristol City and Cardiff. Photos of them playing golf together circulated on social media. Neither confirmed the relationship publicly. It was brief and nothing more was ever established.

The Sunningdale Boyfriend (2022โ€“2023)

In a 2023 LPGA Tour interview, Hull explained why she had learned to drive at 27. “Truthfully, it’s because my boyfriend lives in Sunningdale and I live in Kettering,” she said, adding that taxis between the two were unreliable. She passed her driving test in four weeks and bought a Range Rover Evoque.

His name was never revealed. He is a separate person from T.B. and a separate chapter from Gaz Beadle. A number of outlets have incorrectly merged this Sunningdale detail with the current relationship. The 2023 interview places him well before Gaz Beadle, who came into the picture in 2024.

Gaz Beadle (Springโ€“Summer 2024)

The Sun reported in May 2024 that Hull was dating Gary “Gaz” Beadle, known for appearing in Geordie Shore on MTV from 2011 to 2017. Beadle is a keen golfer who documents his game on his YouTube channel, @gazgolf.

The pair were photographed together at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club in Alnwick, Northumberland. A source told The Sun: “Gaz has made no secret of his love of golf and seems to have found his perfect match in Charley. She is at the top of her game and Gaz is enjoying getting on the course with her to pick up new skills.”

Beadle effectively confirmed the relationship himself by posting a scorecard from a round with Hull on Instagram, writing: “Very happy with 75+3. However, she still won even starting with a quadruple then bogey.”

Beadle had separated from his former partner Emma McVey in 2023, after around eight years together. They have two children: a daughter named Primrose and a son named Chester.

By the summer of 2024 the relationship was over. A source told The Sun: “It’s a real shame but having a full-on relationship was just too hard. Charley is super busy with work and Gaz also has a lot going on.”

Hull has nine professional titles, seven Solheim Cup appearances for Europe, and a world ranking she has spent years working toward. She is playing the best golf of her career right now, and by her own account, her personal life is in the best place it has been in years.

T.B. is not getting named anytime soon. After a marriage that turned controlling within months, followed by a divorce, an ADHD diagnosis, and years of slowly putting things back together, choosing to keep something good and private is not a mystery at all. It is the most logical thing about her.

He moved to London from Stockholm in 2018 and cut his teeth covering business, politics, entertainment, and breaking news across Europe, which gave him a front-row seat to how traditional newsrooms were struggling to adapt. He studied journalism at Uppsala University and later trained at the Reuters Institute, but most of what he knows about running a newsroom came from years of watching what worked and what didn't. He still reports on UK politics, celebrity news, sports, technology, and European affairs when he's not editing, and he's building Daily News Magazine around the idea that speed and accuracy don't have to be enemies.
