Andy Byron Wife: Who Is Megan Kerrigan Byron and Where Is She Now?

She was not a public figure and had no publicist. When a stadium camera in Foxborough, Massachusetts caught her husband in an embrace with a colleague during a Coldplay concert, Megan Kerrigan Byron became one of the most searched names on the internet overnight.

That was July 2025. As of March 2026, she still has not said a single word publicly. Here is everything that is actually verified.

Who Is Megan Kerrigan Byron?

Megan Kerrigan Byron is a Massachusetts-based educator, around 50 years old, who spent years building a career in inclusive education well outside public view. She holds the role of Associate Director of Lower School and Admissions for the Hope Graham Program at the Bancroft School in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The Hope Graham Program serves students in grades 2 through 8 with diagnosed language-based learning differences, including difficulties with reading, writing, and executive functioning. What Happened on July 16, 2025

Andy Byron attended a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. He was not with Megan. He was seated with Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer, who had joined the company eight months earlier in November 2024.

During the show, Chris Martin runs a crowd segment where cameras scan the stadium and he sings a few lines about whoever the screen lands on. When the camera found Byron, his arms were wrapped around Cabot. The moment they saw themselves on the jumbotron, Cabot’s hands flew to her face and she spun away from the screen. Byron ducked out of the frame.

Martin told the 65,000-person crowd: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The clip reached 45 million views on TikTok alone within days, with millions more shared across X and YouTube. Internet users identified both Byron and Cabot by name within hours. Then they went looking for his wife.

Megan’s Response to the Scandal

Supporters found Megan Kerrigan Byron’s Facebook page quickly. Her family photos, hiking trip pictures, and ordinary life posts were flooded with messages of sympathy and encouragement. Then she acted.

She removed “Byron” from her Facebook name, quietly reverting to Megan Kerrigan. Followers watching her page in real time saw it happen. Shortly after, she deleted both her Facebook and Instagram accounts entirely.

According to Daily Mail reporting, Megan left the Northborough home and relocated to the family’s $2.4 million property in Kennebunk, Maine, roughly 106 miles away. Her elder sister Maura and other close family members traveled to be with her.

Since then: no interviews, no statements, no social media. Nothing.

The Statements She Never Made

Within 24 hours of the video spreading online, alleged statements from Megan began circulating across social media. Snopes investigated every major one and confirmed they were fabricated.

Specific problems identified:

  • One statement carried a “Manhattan, NY” dateline while Megan was confirmed to be at the Maine property
  • The texts contained spelling and punctuation errors that would not survive any legal review process
  • Two fake Facebook pages using Megan’s photos pulled from news coverage were created on July 19, two days after the original video had already gone viral

Astronomer separately confirmed that a widely circulated apology attributed to Andy Byron was also fake, stating publicly: “He has not put out any statement. Reports saying otherwise are all incorrect.”

Nothing attributed to Megan in those viral posts came from her.

Andy Byron: Career, Salary, and What the Scandal Cost Him

Andy Byron, born September 14, 1974, in Hanover, Massachusetts, graduated from Providence College with a political science degree and built a career across enterprise tech sales and executive leadership.

His career, in order:

  • VeriCenter / BladeLogic / BMC Software โ€” early enterprise sales
  • Aveksa โ€” VP of Worldwide Sales, acquired by RSA Security
  • Fuze โ€” President and COO; grew revenue from $20M to over $100M, expanded the sales team from 20 to 140 people
  • Cybereason โ€” Chief Revenue Officer, 2017 to 2019
  • Lacework โ€” President
  • Astronomer โ€” CEO, July 2023 to July 19, 2025

At Astronomer, Byron led the company through a $93 million Series D round in May 2025, backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Salesforce Ventures, bringing the valuation above $1.3 billion. The New York Post reported his annual salary at $469,000 to $690,000, plus performance bonuses. His estimated net worth sits between $50 million and $70 million, factoring in equity, past executive compensation, and real estate holdings.

His Conduct at Cybereason โ€” A Pattern That Predates 2025

The Coldplay moment was not the first time Byron’s professional conduct drew scrutiny.

In April 2018, technology publication The Information published an investigation titled “Fake Hire, Staff Departures Roil SoftBank-Backed Security Startup”, by journalist Sarah Kuranda. The piece documented serious internal friction during Byron’s time as Chief Revenue Officer at Cybereason.

Former employees told The Information that Byron replaced employees he labeled underperformers with loyal hires brought over from Fuze, and routinely threatened staff who disagreed with him. “You couldn’t challenge him,” one former employee said directly.

At least 60 employees โ€” more than 25% of Cybereason’s workforce โ€” left in 2017 alone. Cybereason’s CEO Lior Div publicly defended Byron, pointing to a 140% sales increase that year. Byron denied the allegations, framing his decisions as necessary for growth.

When the Coldplay video went viral seven years later, those 2018 accounts resurfaced fast. A former Astronomer staffer who reported directly to Byron told the New York Post: “The text groups and chains of former employees are like โ€” everybody’s laughing their ass off and enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed.”

Astronomer’s board placed Byron on administrative leave on July 18, 2025. He resigned the following day. Kristin Cabot resigned the week after. CNN confirmed that despite stepping down as CEO, Byron retained his seat on Astronomer’s board of directors.

Where Andy and Megan Stand as of March 2026

In August 2025, Kristin Cabot filed for divorce from her husband Andrew Cabot. That filing is confirmed.

Andy and Megan appear to have taken a different path.

In September 2025, the Daily Mail published photographs of the two walking hand in hand near their Kennebunk property, both wearing their wedding rings. They were later photographed sitting together at a sunset picnic on a nearby beach. It was the first confirmed public sighting of the couple since the scandal broke.

A source cited by PEOPLE said the relationship between Byron and Cabot was not romantic, describing them as colleagues with a close professional friendship. No divorce proceedings have been filed by either Andy or Megan Byron based on all available public records as of March 2026.

Byron has not announced any new professional role. He has made no public statements. Megan returned to her work at Bancroft School and has stayed entirely out of public view.

Eight months after one of 2025’s most-watched viral moments, Megan Kerrigan Byron remains exactly where she placed herself the morning after: silent, private, and on her own terms. She dropped a surname, left a house, and let the internet run its course. Then she went back to work with children who needed her.

He moved to London from Stockholm in 2018 and cut his teeth covering business, politics, entertainment, and breaking news across Europe, which gave him a front-row seat to how traditional newsrooms were struggling to adapt. He studied journalism at Uppsala University and later trained at the Reuters Institute, but most of what he knows about running a newsroom came from years of watching what worked and what didn't. He still reports on UK politics, celebrity news, sports, technology, and European affairs when he's not editing, and he's building Daily News Magazine around the idea that speed and accuracy don't have to be enemies.
