Liv Pollock and Dacre Montgomery Engaged, No Wedding Date

A fact-checked look at the Australian model’s career, her engagement to Dacre Montgomery, and the parts of her public life that remain unresolved.

Who is Liv Pollock

Liv Pollock is an Australian model from Perth, Western Australia, signed with Vivien’s Models in Sydney. Her modeling work includes runway appearances at Miami Swim Week, and she posts it on Instagram at @liv.pollock, where she has more than 90,000 followers. She also runs a separate account, @livpollockeats, for food styling and recipe content.

Outside modeling, Pollock is best known as the fiancée of actor Dacre Montgomery, who also grew up in Perth and plays Billy Hargrove on Stranger Things.

Before modeling became her full time work, Pollock was studying architecture at the University of Western Australia. In a 2018 interview with The Daily Telegraph, she described stepping back from that degree as a gap year, taken to travel and build her modeling career. That interview happened eight years ago. No profile or interview published since has mentioned her finishing the degree, or going back to it.

How Pollock and Montgomery’s relationship has played out

Pollock and Montgomery are both from Perth. They knew each other through mutual friends and work contacts before anything romantic started, and Pollock told The Daily Telegraph in 2018 that the relationship grew slowly, through conversations on social media, before it became official.

Their first public appearance as a couple came on April 21, 2018, at the Thirst Project’s annual gala in Beverly Hills. They were photographed together again two months later at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, then that September at the Emmy Awards, seated near Montgomery’s Stranger Things castmates Joe Keery and Natalia Dyer.

In January 2020, Montgomery told People at the Screen Actors Guild Awards that he and Pollock were becoming ambassadors for the Australian Red Cross, a role that grew out of a fundraiser he had started for bushfire relief. Pollock described the same origin in a separate interview with the swimwear label It’s Now Cool, saying the fundraiser ran during what she called the catastrophic fires that hit Australia that year. That same year, the couple appeared together on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Kazakhstan.

In November 2022, they modeled together in a Rag & Bone eyewear campaign and attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney.

They got engaged on November 28, 2023, inside the first home they had bought together, before its renovation had started. Pollock posted about it on Instagram a few days later, on December 1, writing that the ring was an emerald set on a plain band, chosen so they could finish designing it together.

Since then, they have kept appearing together in public with no update on a wedding. Coverage of Montgomery’s September 2025 trip to the Venice Film Festival, for the premiere of his film Dead Man’s Wire, still described Pollock as his girlfriend, almost two years into the engagement. Their most recent confirmed public appearance together came at the AACTA Awards on the Gold Coast in February 2026.

The wellness brand that never got a name

Around 2020 or 2021, in the same interview with It’s Now Cool, Pollock said she was building her own women’s health and wellness brand. She described it as something she had been working on for a long time, and said she was excited to finally launch it.

It has never been named in anything published since. No launch date, no product, and no brand name have surfaced anywhere. Her Instagram has featured wellness and lifestyle content for years, including workouts, recipes and posts about balancing modeling work with time off, but none of it has been packaged into the venture she described. What exists instead is her food account, @livpollockeats, and a stint working as a food stylist and recipe developer for the online fitness platform The Pilates Class.

Pollock has never appeared in Stranger Things herself, but she has spent years photographed alongside its cast, at award shows, magazine shoots and film festival red carpets. That record is long and well documented. What it does not include, so far, is an ending for any of the three things Pollock has personally announced over the years: the paused architecture degree, the unnamed wellness brand, and an engagement that is still without a wedding date.
