Houston Texans vs Seattle Seahawks Match Player Stats (Oct 20, 2025)

Monday Night Football | October 20, 2025 | Lumen Field, Seattle, WA | Attendance: 68,632

Seattle handed Houston four turnovers on a silver platter Monday night. The Texans converted them into zero touchdowns. That right there is all you need to understand how the Seahawks walked away from Week 7 with a 27-19 win they never really had to sweat for.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught eight passes for 123 yards and a score. Zach Charbonnet punched in two rushing touchdowns. And Uchenna Nwosu delivered an 18-yard sack — the third-longest in Seahawks franchise history — on Houston’s opening drive that set the tone from the jump. Seattle moved to 5-2 and into a three-way tie atop the NFC West. Houston dropped to 2-4.

Below is the complete Texans vs Seahawks box score, player stats, and game breakdown from that Monday night in Seattle.

Quarterback Stats

C.J. Stroud had no answers for Seattle’s pass rush. He was sacked three times, hit seven more, and finished with a 59.0 passer rating on 49 attempts. The offensive line — already under scrutiny — had allowed Stroud to be taken down 18 times through seven games in 2025, a marked improvement over his NFL-high 52 sacks in the 2024 season, but Monday night was a step back.

“Our defense kept us in the whole game. Got to help those guys out and score some points somehow, some way.”C.J. Stroud

Darnold’s line was cleaner than Stroud’s, but he still threw an interception, lost a fumble, and had Cooper Kupp pick off a trick-play attempt. Seattle’s ground game took enough pressure off him to keep things manageable.

Rushing Stats

Seattle dominated on the ground. Charbonnet carried 12 times for 49 yards and both rushing touchdowns. Kenneth Walker III took the bulk of the load with 17 carries. Together, the Seahawks ran 33 times for 118 yards — more than double Houston’s rushing output.

Receiving Stats

Houston Texans

Dalton Schultz was Stroud’s safety valve all night, catching nine passes for 98 yards on 10 targets. Rookie Jaylin Noel had the best yards-per-reception average on the team at 19.3 on four catches. Nico Collins was targeted 10 times but finished with just 27 yards before leaving with a concussion in the second half.

Seattle Seahawks

Smith-Njigba was the best player on the field. His 123 receiving yards on 8 catches gave him his NFL-leading fifth 100-yard game of the 2025 season, making him only the second player in Seahawks history to record three consecutive 100-yard performances. He also celebrated his touchdown by dunking the football on the crossbar — drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct flag — with Darnold admitting he didn’t see it coming.

“There’s nothing routine about what he’s been able to do productivity-wise. It’s very difficult. That takes a lot of work.”Cooper Kupp on Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Seattle Seahawks Defense

“He’s pretty much the quarterback of the defense. He keeps everyone calm. He hypes everyone up.”Leonard Williams on Ernest Jones IV

Ernest Jones IV finished with a game-high 11 tackles, one interception — his third of the season and a career-high — and one tackle for loss. His 28-yard return on the pick off Stroud, intended for Nico Collins, set up a Myers field goal and shifted momentum in the third quarter.

The Bottom Line

Seattle won a game it gave away four times and Houston refused to take. The Texans held a defense that ranked No. 1 in scoring to zero points off those turnovers — a sequence that defined not just the night but a season-long pattern developing around Stroud’s supporting cast.

For Seattle, the win was a statement going into their bye week. Smith-Njigba was operating at a level few receivers in the league were matching at that point in the 2025 season. The defense, despite missing Witherspoon, Love, and Hall, bent without breaking when it mattered.

Two teams heading in different directions — that’s what the Seahawks vs Texans stat line from Week 7 ultimately reflected.
