Harvey Adelson has been named an unindicted co-conspirator. He has not been charged.

Donna Adelson’s trial ran for approximately two weeks in August and September 2025, nationally televised on Court TV. The prosecution presented FBI wiretapped phone calls from a 2016 undercover sting operation, forensic financial records, and testimony from Donna’s own children. Several moments stood out.

Patricia Byrd, a fellow inmate who spent six to seven months housed with Donna at Leon County Detention, told jurors that when she directly asked whether Donna had done what she was accused of, Donna said yes, adding it was “to keep her grandkids” and “it wasn’t supposed to go that far.” Donna had offered Byrd a tract of land, a trailer, and free dental work from Harvey in exchange for false testimony about Magbanua.

Drina Bernhardt, another inmate Donna called her “jail daughter,” testified that Donna promised her $10,000, a grand piano, commissary items, and pills in exchange for memorizing a handwritten Q&A script.
